In August 2020, the turnover in large-scale food retailing bounced back (+3.9%) after a decline in July (−0.9%). This rebound concerned both food products (+4.9% after −2.3%) and non-food products (+2.8% after −1.7%). Sales decelerated in automotive fuel (+0.3% after +14.9%).
Turnover sped up in supermarkets (+4.3% after +1.1%) and bounced back in hypermarkets (+3.4% after −1.6%).

In August 2020, the turnover in large-scale food retailing bounced back (+3.9%) after a decline in July (−0.9%). This rebound concerned both food products (+4.9% after −2.3%) and non-food products (+2.8% after −1.7%). Sales decelerated in automotive fuel (+0.3% after +14.9%).
Turnover sped up in supermarkets (+4.3% after +1.1%) and bounced back in hypermarkets (+3.4% after −1.6%).
Increase over a year (+1.3%)
The turnover of the past three months (June to August) in large-scale food retailing rose (+1.3%) compared to the same period one year earlier. Over that period, sales grew in food products (+3.6%) and in non-food products (+7.6%). Sales collapsed in automotive fuel (−16.9%).
Year on year, sales increased in supermarkets (+1.4%) and more slightly in hypermarkets (+0.3%).
