The commentary shows variations of subsections by decreasing contribution to the overall evolution. The contribution of a subsection depends on the extent of the change and on its weight.

In November 2019, the turnover recovered in the manufacturing industry (+0.4% after −0.6% in October). It also rebounded in industry as a whole (+1.0% after −1.0%).

Export turnover declined in November (−1.3% after +1.7%).

Stability over the last three months

Over the last three months (September to November), the turnover was stable in the manufacturing industry and virtually stable in industry as a whole (+0.1%), compared to the previous three months. Within manufacturing, the turnover fell strongly in the manufacture of coke and refined petroleum products (−4.1%) and more moderately in the manufacture of transport equipment (−0.8%) and in the manufacture of machinery and equipment goods (−0.7%). It went up slightly in the manufacture of food products and beverages (+0.3%) and also grew in “other manufacturing” (+1.0%).
