These provisional results are only preliminary data. Accordingly, they should not be used for contractual revaluations. The indices published here are based on a limited set of price observations and from estimates of some rates of change for fares which are not yet available. The complete results will be published on 12 December 2019.
Over a year, the Consumer Price Index (CPI) should accelerate to +1.0% in November 2019, after +0.8% in the previous month, according to the provisional estimate made at the end of the month. This rise in inflation should result from a sharper dynamism in tobacco, services and food prices, and from a lesser drop in those of energy. Manufactured goods prices should drop more than in October.
Over one month, consumer prices should rise by 0.1%, after a stability in October. Tobacco prices should increase sharply, due to a tax increase. Those of energy should rise slightly due to a rebound over one month in gas prices. Food prices should rebound very moderately. Contrariwise, those of services should drop a little more than in the previous month and those of manufactured goods should edge down barely.
Year on year, the Harmonised Index of Consumer Prices should gather pace to +1.2% after +0.9% in October. Over one month, it should rise by 0.1%, after −0.1% in the previous month.
