Strong decrease in transport equipment (−6.1%)

In November, the turnover in the manufacture of transport equipment went down strongly (−6.1% after +7.0% in October) due to the drop in the manufacture of other transport equipment (−7.3% after +8.4%) and in the manufacture of motor vehicles (-4.6% after +5.3%).

The turnover in the manufacture of transport equipment fell back in export sales (−6.4% after +7.2%).

Fall in “other manufacturing” (−1.5%)

The turnover in “other manufacturing” declined in November (−1.5% after +3.5%). It turned down in the manufacture of basic pharmaceutical products and pharmaceutical preparations (-5.4% after +9.4%), in chemicals and chemical products (−2.4% after +3.1%) in the manufacture of basic metals and fabricated metal products, except machinery and equipment (−1.7% after +3.4%), in the manufacture of wood and paper products; printing and reproduction of recorded media (−1.0% after +1.2%), in the manufacture of rubber and plastics products, and other non-metallic mineral products (−0.6% after +1.6%), and in the manufacture of textiles, wearing apparel, leather and related products (−1.5% after +6.7). It increased again in other manufacturing, repair and installation of machinery equipment (+0.3% after +3.6%).

Export sales in “other manufacturing” dwindled in November (−3.1% after +5.6%).

Decline in food products and beverages (−0.9%)

The turnover in the manufacture of food products and beverages went down in November (−0.9% after +3.0%). It decreased in export sales (−0.9% after +1.6%).

Further decrease in coke and refined petroleum products (−2.1%)

In November, the turnover in the manufacture of coke and refined petroleum products decreased again (−2.1% after -5.1%.).

Decrease in machinery and equipment (−0.5%)

In November, the turnover in machinery and equipment decreased (−0.5% after +2.3% in October), particularly in the manufacture of electrical equipment (−1.4% after +2.7%) and in the manufacture of machinery and equipment n.e.c. (−0.9% after +3.1%). On the other hand it increased in the manufacture of computer, electronic and optical products (+0.8% after +0.9%).

Export sales were virtually stable in machinery and equipment (+0.1% after +2.5%).
