In June 2014, the number of business start-ups including self-managed enterprises seasonally and working-day adjusted data (sa-wda) remained steady compared to May: 0.0% and decreased by -0.7% for business start-ups excluding self-managed enterprises.

The amount of entries added up in the last three months increased compared to the same months one year before (+2.0%) specially for companies (+5.8%).
The sectors that most contributed to that rise were business support activities and accommodation and food and beverage service activities.

During the last twelve months, the number of business start-ups increased by 0.8% year-on-year, especially the number of companies increased (+3.5%).
More than half of the creations are self-managed enterprises
In May 2014, 50.8% of business set-ups over the last twelve months were self-managed enterprises.
