Over the fourth quarter, the turnover decreased slightly in the manufacturing industry (–0.3% q-o-q) as well as in the industry as a whole (–0.5%).

The turnover fell in the electrical and electronic equipment; machine equipment (–1.5%) and the manufacture of coke and refined petroleum products (–2.2%). It fell slightly in other manufacturing (–0.3%), mainly in the manufacture of basic pharmaceutical products and pharmaceutical preparations (–1.8%) and the manufacture of rubber and plastic products (–0.9%). It remained virtually stable in the manufacture of food products and beverages (–0.1%). Conversely, it grew in the manufacture of transport equipment (+1.1%), owed to the manufacture of other transport equipment (+3.0%) which more than offset the fall in the manufacture of motor vehicles, trailers and semi-trailers (–1.6%).

Fall compared to last year (–1.0%)

The turnover in the manufacturing industry went down over the fourth quarter of 2014 compared to the fourth quarter of 2013 (–1.0%).
