In Q3 2015, payroll employment continued to increase in non-farm market sectors (+14,900 jobs, that is +0.1% q-o-q, after + 23,800 jobs in the previous quarter).
In Q3 2015, payroll employment continued to increase in non-farm market sectors (+14,900 jobs, that is +0.1% q-o-q, after + 23,800 jobs in the previous quarter).
Employment in industry (–0.4%, –12 800 jobs) and in construction (–0.8%, –10 000 jobs) dropped in Q3 2015 at the same pace as in Q2 2015. However, employment in services increased again (+0.3%, +37 800 jobs, after +0.4% in Q2 2015). Excluding temporary work, employment in services also rose again, increasing by 0.2%, +20 200 jobs after +0,2% in the previous quarter. Excluding temporary work, employment in market sectors was almost stable (–2,700 jobs).
Further increase in temporary employment in Q3
Temporary employment continued to increase in Q3 2015: +17,600 jobs that is +3.2%, after +19,100 jobs that is +3.6% in the previous quarter. Year-on-year, it increased sharply (+51,500 jobs, +10.0%).
