The business climate is virtually stable

In June 2015, the business climate indicator is virtually stable.

After a rise by two points in May, the composite indicator, compiled from the answers of business managers in the main sectors, has lost one point. It still lies below (97) its long-term average (100). The business climate indicator has risen by two points in building construction, is stable in services and retail trade but has lost three points in manufacturing.

The turning point indicator is in the uncertainty area

The global turning point indicator is in the area indicating an uncertain short-term economic outlook. The turning point indicator also stays in the uncertain area in the services sector; the remaining indicators are now in the favorable area.

Revisions

The business climate of May 2015 in France and this in services sector have been revised upward by one point since their first estimate last month. This revision comes from late answers which have been taken into account.
