In October 2011, new orders received in industry (except heavy transport equipment) slightly increased by 0.3% after a strong decrease in September (-3.6%; first estimate: -3.1%).

In October 2011, new orders received in industry (except heavy transport equipment) slightly increased by 0.3% after a strong decrease in September (-3.6%; first estimate: -3.1%).

Non-domestic new orders increased as well (+0.3%).

Over the last quarter, new orders decreased in industry (-0.9%)

During the last quarter (q-o-q), new orders decreased in the car industry (-2.9%) and in the “electrical and electronic equipment” (-1.3%). Meanwhile, new orders were almost steady in the “other manufacturing” sector (-0.1%).

Compared to last year, new orders are higher (+5.4%)

The last three months’ level of new orders is 5.4% higher than a year ago.

Revisions: -0.49 point in September
