In December 2011, the turnover rose in real estate activities (+1.9 %), in information and communication (+0.7 %) and in transportation and storage (+0.5 %). It declined in the wholesale trade (–1.1 %) after an increase in November 2011. It was steady in business support activities (0.0 %).
Every index in this issue is in value, seasonally and working-day adjusted.
In December 2011, the turnover rose in real estate activities (+1.9 %), in information and communication (+0.7 %) and in transportation and storage (+0.5 %). It declined in the wholesale trade (–1.1 %) after an increase in November 2011. It was steady in business support activities (0.0 %).
Compared to Q3 2011 (q-o-q), the turnover of Q4 2011 rose in the wholesale trade (+0.7 %), in transportation and storage (+0.7 %), in real estate activities (+0.7 %) and in business support activities (+0.4 %). It was broadly stable in information and communication (–0.1 %).
Compared to Q4 2010 (y-o-y), the turnover of Q4 2011 grew in the wholesale trade (+5.6 %), in business support activities (+5.4 %), in transportation and storage (+4.2 %), in information and communication (+3.2 %) and, to a lesser extent, in real estate activities (+0.5 %).

Revisions
The SA-WDA evolution in November has been revised by –0.3 point in information and communication. The variation, initially announced at +0.3 %, has been corrected at 0.0 %. In the same period, the SA-WDA evolution has been revised by +0.1 point in the wholesale trade and in real estate activities. The turnover’s variation has been confirmed in transportation and storage and in business support activities.
