Decrease in payroll employment in Q4 2011 Payroll employment - 4st Quarter 2011

In Q4 2011, payroll employment in principally market sectors declined by 0.1% q-o-q (- 22,600 jobs), after -0.2% (-31,500) in the previous quarter. Excluding temporary work, employment remained stable in Q4 2011 (-1,500 jobs).

In Q4 2011, payroll employment in principally market sectors declined by 0.1% q-o-q (- 22,600 jobs), after -0.2% (-31,500) in the previous quarter. Excluding temporary work, employment remained stable in Q4 2011 (-1,500 jobs).

Fall of temporary employment

Temporary employment was in decline this quarter : -3.6%, after -2.1 % in Q3 2011. The number of people in employment in this sector was down 21,100 compared to the previous quarter.
