In November 2011, the consumer price index (CPI) increased by 0.3%, after a rose by 0.2% in October. The year-on-year change was +2.5% in November. The price index without tobacco increased by 0.2% in November 2011 (+2.4% year-on-year).

Adjusted from seasonal variations, the monthly change increased by 0.3% (+2.5% year-on-year).
The rose of CPI of November resulted from the increase of energy prices, of tobacco (+2.8%; +6.9% year-on-year), of some rates changes and of growth of prices of food products. Prices of services linked with tourism were moving back. Prices of manufactured products were steady.
Price of energy products were growing
In November 2011, prices of energy products were growing (+1.2%; +11.5% year-on-year), due to the growth of prices of oil products (+1.9%; +15.4% year-on-year).
Slightly increase of prices of services
Prices of services increased by 0.2% in November 2011 (+1.7% year-on-year).
Prices of food products went up
Prices of food products went up by 0.3% in November 2011 (+3.2% year-on-year), after an increase by 0.4% in October. Prices of fresh products went up by 0.2% in November 2011 (—0.9% year-on-year). This increase was moderate compared with the one observed in November 2010 (+2.0%), climatic conditions being more favourable in 2011. Prices of food products except fresh products were growing (+0.3%; +3.8% year-on-year).

Steadiness of prices of manufactured products
In November 2011, prices of manufactured products were steady (+0.8% year-on-year).
Core-inflation increased
Core-inflation (ISJ) increased by 0.3% in November 2011 (+1.6% year-on-year).
The harmonised consumer price index (HCPI) went up by 0.3% (+2.7% year-on-year).
