In March 2013, the turnover went up in the manufac-turing industry (+0.8%), due to a high rise in the manufacture of transport equipment (+9.9%). The turnover decreased in the manufacturing industry without the manufacture of transport equipment (–0.9%).

A very small decline over the last three months…
Over the quarter (q-o-q), the turnover fell slightly in the manufacturing industry (–0.2%). It decreased in other industries (–0.5%) and in the manufacture of coke and refined petroleum (–1.2%). It went down in the manufacture of transport equipments (–0.3%). On the other hand, it increased in the manufacture of food products and beverages (+0.6%).
…but a slightly larger one over the last year
Year-on-year, the turnover decreased in the manufacturing industry (–0.9%). It fell substantially in other manufacturing (–1.7%), in the manufacture of transport equipment (–3.2%) and in the manufacture of coke and refined petroleum (–4.5%). On the contrary, it rose considerably in the manufacture of food products and beverages (+4.1%).

In March 2013, the turnover jumped in the manufacture of transport equipment (+9.9%), mainly in the manufacture of other transport equipments (+15.8%). The turnover fell sharply in the manufacture of coke and refined petroleum (–3.1%). It decreased in the manufacture of food products and beverages (–1.0%). It went down moderately in other industries (–0.5%), in spite of a significant rise in the pharmaceuticals, medical chemical and botanical products (+1.9%). It fell substantially in the electrical and electronic equipment ; machine equipment (–1.0%).
