In July 2013, the sales volume increased compared to June in the retail trade, except for motor vehicles and motorcycles (+1.8 %). On the contrary, it declined in accommodation and food service activity (–0.5 %) and in trade and repair of motor vehicles and motorcycles (–0.2 %). It was broadly stable in household services (+0.1 %).
In July 2013, the sales volume increased compared to June in the retail trade, except for motor vehicles and motorcycles (+1.8 %). On the contrary, it declined in accommodation and food service activity (–0.5 %) and in trade and repair of motor vehicles and motorcycles (–0.2 %). It was broadly stable in household services (+0.1 %).
Over the last three months (q-o-q), the sales volume grew in the retail trade, except for motor vehicles and motorcycles (+1.4 %), in accommodation and food service activities (+0.3 %). It fell in household services (-0.8 %) and in the trade and repair of motor vehicles and motorcycles (–0.2 %).
Over the year (y-o-y), the sales volume increased in the retail trade except for motor vehicles and motorcycles (+0.8 %) but it declined in the trade and repair of motor vehicles and motorcycles (–4.2 %), in accommodation and food services activities (–1.8 %) and in household services (–1.0 %).

In August 2013, the sales volume in the retail trade is expected to stabilize (+0.2 %).
Revisions
The evolution in July has been revised by –0.1 point, in the retail trade, except for motor vehicles and motorcycles and in accommodation and food service activities and by +0.1 point in the trade and repair of motor vehicles and motorcycles. In the same period, the variation was not changed in Household services.
