In November 2011, manufacturing output increased in volume (+1.3%). It was almost stable in October 2011 (+0.2%). In total industry, output increased as well (+1.1%).

In the last three months, manufacturing output decreased (-0.7%)…
In the last three months (quarter-on-quarter change), output decreased in the manufacturing sector (-0.7%) as well as in the industry as a whole (-1.0%).
Output decreased in the other manufacturing sectors (-1.2%) and in the manufacture of electrical, electronic equipment and machine equipment (-0.4%). It was stable in the manufacture of transport equipment (0.0%). On the contrary, output increased in the manufacture of coke and refined petroleum products (+1.3%).
…though it remained higher than its last year’s level by 2.2%
Manufacturing output rose by 2.2% (y-o-y).
It increased in the other manufacturing sectors (+1.2%), in the manufacture of electrical and electronic equipment and machine equipment (+3.1%) and in the manufacture of transport equipment (+2.7%).
It strongly increased in the manufacture of coke and refined petroleum products (+15.3%) due to strikes in October 2010.
Please note: all the series are adjusted for seasonal variations (SA) and the number of working days (WDA).

In November 2011, output increased in the « other manufacturing » (+1.4%)…
Output increased in the other manufacturing, repair and installation of machinery and equipment (+2.2%), in the manufacture of basic metals and fabricated metal products (+0.9%), in the manufacture of wood and paper products; printing and reproduction of recorded media (+2.7%) as well as in the manufacture of rubber and plastics products (+1.3%). It also increased in the manufacture of chemicals and chemical products (+1.7%) and in the manufacture of textiles, wearing apparel, leather and related products (+1.2%) and in the manufacture of basic pharmaceutical products and pharmaceutical preparations (+1.2%).

Output sharply increased in the manufacture of machinery and equipment n.e.c. (+2.4%), in the manufacture of computer, electronic and optical products (+1.6%) as well as in the manufacture of electrical equipment (+1.7%).
