In October 2013, the turnover decreased by 0.9% in transportation and storage, by 0.6% in business support activities and by 0.4% in the wholesale trade, except for motor vehicles and motorcycles. On the opposite, it went up slightly in information and communication (+0.2%), and remained almost stable in real estate activities (+0.1%).

Over the last three months (q-o-q), the turnover went down sharply in information and communication (–1.9%), in real estate activities (–1.2%) and to a lesser extent in the wholesale trade, except for motor vehicles and motorcycle (–0.3%). On the other hand, it increased in transportation and storage (+1.6%) and in business support activities (+0.6%).
Over the year (y-o-y), the turnover declined significantly in information and communication (–2.9%) and more moderately in the wholesale trade, except for motor vehicles and motorcycles (–1.1%). On the contrary, it went up by 1.5% in business support activities and in transportation and storage, and by 0.7% in real estate activities.

Revisions
The evolution in September has been revised by –2.5 point in transportation and storage, by +0.3 point in real estate activities, and by –0.1 point in information and communication. It remained unchanged in business support activities and in the wholesale trade, except for motor vehicles and motorcycles.
