In October 2013, the sales volume declined compared to September in trade and repair of motor vehicules and motorcycles (–1.2%), after four months of increases. On the contrary, it rose slightly in accommodation and food services activities (+0.2%). It was steady in retail trade, except for motor vehicles and motorcycles and in household services (+0.0%).

Over the last three months (q-o-q), the sales volume grew in the trade and repair of motor vehicles and motorcycles (+0.9%) and in retail trade, except for motor vehicles and motorcycles (+0.4%). Conversely, it went back in household services (–0.4%) and in accommodation and food service activities (–0.3%).
Over the year (y-o-y), the sales volume increased strongly in the retail trade except for motor vehicles and motorcycles (+1.4%). On the opposite, it went down in accommodation and food services activities (–2.1%), in trade and repair of motor vehicles and motorcycles (–1.2%) and to a lesser extent in household services (–0.4%).

In November 2013, the sales volume in the retail trade is expected to rise (+2.1%).
