In December 2013, manufacturing output was stable (0.0%, after +0.2% in November). Output decreased slightly in industrial production as a whole (–0.3%, after +1.2% last month).
In December 2013, manufacturing output was stable (0.0%, after +0.2% in November). Output decreased slightly in industrial production as a whole (–0.3%, after +1.2% last month).
During the last quarter, manufacturing output improved by +0.5%…
During the last quarter (q-o-q), output improved moderately in the manufacturing sector (+0.5%), as well as in industry as a whole (+0.3%).
Output increased in the manufacture of electrical and electronic equipment; machine equipment (+2.6%), in the manufacture of transport equipment (+1.3%) and remained stable in other manufacturing (+0.1%). Meanwhile, output slumped by 7.0% in the manufacture of coke and refined petroleum products. It went down to a lesser extent in the manufacture of food products and beverages (–0.9%).
…and was higher than its last year’s level by 0.9%.
Manufacturing output went up by 0.9% (y-o-y).
Output soared in the manufacture of transport equipment (+7.5%) and improved in a less sustain pace in the manufacture of electrical and electronic equipment; machine equipment (+3.4%). It increased slightly in other manufacturing (+0.4%). On the opposite, output declined in the manufacture of food products and beverages (–4.1%) as well as in the manufacture of coke and refined petroleum products (–10.1%).
Please note: all the series are adjusted for seasonal variations (SA) and the number of working days (WDA).

In December 2013, output decreased in the manufacture of transport equipment (–4.6%)…
In particular, output decreased strongly in the manufacture of other transport equipment (–11.7%), while it increased in the manufacture of motor vehicles, trailers and semi-trailers (+3.6%).
… in « Mining and quarrying; energy; water supply; waste management » (–1.9%)…
Output went down in electricity, gas, steam and air-conditioning supply (–2.1%), due to the clement climate in December.
… as well as in the manufacture of coke and refined petroleum products (–9.5%).
Output decreased by 9.5% in the manufacture of coke and refined petroleum products, because of social movements in several units.
Output rebounded in other manufacturing (+0.7%)…
Output went up in the manufacture of rubber and plastics products, and other non-metallic mineral products (+1.5%), in the manufacture of basic metals and fabricated metal products, except machinery and equipment (+0.6%) and in the manufacture of chemicals and chemical products (+1.1%). It also increased in other manufacturing, repair and installation of machinery and equipment (+0.3%), in the manufacture of wood and paper products; printing and reproduction of recorded media (+0.7%) and in the manufacture of basic pharmaceutical products and pharmaceutical preparations (+0.3%).
… and in the manufacture of electrical and electronic equipment; machine equipment (+1.4%).
Output increased significantly in the manufacture of electrical equipment (+3.2%), in the manufacture of computer, electronic and optical products (+2.1%) and to a lesser extent in the manufacture of machinery and equipment n.e.c. (+0.3%).
