In August 2013, the sales volume increased compared to July in accommodation and food activities (+1.4 %) and in trade and repair of motor vehicules and motorcycles (+0.6 %). It was broadly stable in retail trade, except for motor vehicles and motorcycles (+0.2 %).
In August 2013, the sales volume increased compared to July in accommodation and food activities (+1.4 %) and in trade and repair of motor vehicules and motorcycles (+0.6 %). It was broadly stable in retail trade, except for motor vehicles and motorcycles (+0.2 %).
Over the last three months (q-o-q), the sales volume grew in the retail trade, except for motor vehicles and motorcycles (+1.1 %) and in trade and repair of motor vehicles and motorcycles (+0.9 %). It levelled off in accommodation and food service activities (+0.1 %). It slided in household services (–0.7 %).
Over the year (y-o-y), the sales volume increased in the retail trade except for motor vehicles and motorcycles (+0.9 %) but it declined in the trade and repair of motor vehicles and motorcycles (–3.1 %), in accommodation and food services activities (–2.2 %) and in household services (–0.3 %).

In September 2013, the sales volume in the retail trade is expected to stabilize (+0.1 %).
Revisions
The change in August has been revised by +0.7 point in the household services, by +0.6 point in the trade and repair of motor vehicles and motorcycles, by +0.2 point in the retail trade, except for motor vehicles and motorcycles and by –0.2 point in accommodation and food services.
