In February 2011, new orders received in industry (except heavy transport equipment) increased by 2.4%, after a decrease in January (-6.1%; first estimate: –6.5%).

In February 2011, new orders received in industry (except heavy transport equipment) increased by 2.4%, after a decrease in January (-6.1%; first estimate: –6.5%).
Non domestic new orders also increased in February (+3.5%).
Over the last quarter, new orders increased in industry (+7.2%)
Over the same period, non domestic new orders rose by 10.3% (q-o-q).
New orders increased (q-o-q) by 24.8% in car industry, by 3.0% in the “other manufacturing” sector and by 4.1% in “electrical and electronic equipment”.
Compared to last year, new orders are higher (+13.6%)
The quarterly level of new orders is 13.6% higher than a year ago.
