the wholesale trade Turnover in the wholesale trade and business services - September 2010
In September 2010, the turnover bounced back in the sector of transportation and storage (–0.9 %), in information and communication (–0.7 %) and in business support activities (–0.4 %). It rose in the wholesale trade, except of motor vehicles and motorcycles (+1.3 %) and in real estate activities (+0.4 %).
Every index in this issue is in value, seasonally and working-day adjusted.
In September 2010, the turnover bounced back in the sector of transportation and storage (–0.9 %), in information and communication (–0.7 %) and in business support activities (–0.4 %). It rose in the wholesale trade, except of motor vehicles and motorcycles (+1.3 %) and in real estate activities (+0.4 %).
Compared to Q2 2010, the turnover of Q3 2010 expanded in all the sectors : +4.4 % in transportation and storage, +1.6 % in the “wholesale trade...”, +1.5 % in business support activities, +0.9 % in the sector of information and communication and +0.9 % in real estate activities.
Compared to Q3 2009, the turnover of Q3 2010 picked up in transportation and storage (+9.7 %). It also grew in the “wholesale trade...” (+6.7 %), in the sector of information and communication (+5.1 %) in business support activities (+3.2 %) and in real estate activities (+2.6 %).
The SA-WDA evolution in August has been revised by +0.1 point in transportation and storage, in real estate activities and in “wholesale trade...”. In the same period, the turnover’s variation has been corrected by –0.1 point in the sector information and communication and in business support activities.
