According to the business leaders questioned in October, the industrial economic situation in France improves noticeably : the business climate indicator increases by three points, ending up for the first time since June 2008 over its long term average. The turning point indicator stabilizes in the favorable area. Business leaders consider that their past activity increased slighly and has remained dynamic. However, the level of stocks of finished products is rated as lower than in September. At the same time, export orders books improves clearly and return to their long-term average level. Total order books are still rated as low.

The personal production outlook for the next month recovers anew. It’s now at its highest level since mid-2008. The general production outlook, which represents business leaders’ opinion on French industry as a whole, is also progressing.
