According to the business leaders questioned in December, the economic situation in the retail trade and in the trade and repair of motor vehicles stays good: the synthetic indicator improves a little and remains above its long-term average.

Recent sales increased, mainly in non-specialised retail trade and in trade and repair of motor vehicles. Overall economic expectations stabilize above their average, indicating that retailers’opinion stays rather optimistic about the economic situation in the trade sector. However this optimism would be moderate: expected sales and ordering intentions remain a little higher than their medium level.
