In July 2010, the turnover rose in the wholesale trade, except of motor vehicles and motorcycles (+0.9 %) in real state activities (+0.4 %) and in business support activities (+0.2 %). It was broadly steady in the sector of information and communication (+0.1 %). The turnover surged in transportation and storage (+4.6 %) due to the exceptional jump in the sector of passenger land transport except train (+14.1 %) and to the soar of air transport (+4.3 %).
Every index in this issue is in value, seasonally and working-day adjusted.
In July 2010, the turnover rose in the wholesale trade, except of motor vehicles and motorcycles (+0.9 %) in real state activities (+0.4 %) and in business support activities (+0.2 %). It was broadly steady in the sector of information and communication (+0.1 %). The turnover surged in transportation and storage (+4.6 %) due to the exceptional jump in the sector of passenger land transport except train (+14.1 %) and to the soar of air transport (+4.3 %).
In the last three months, the turnover increased in all the sectors compared to the three previous months : +1.9 % in transportation and storage, +1.3 % in the sector of information and communication, +1.2% in the “wholesale trade...”, +1.0 % in business support activities and +0.7 % in real estate activities.
Compared to the same three months of the previous year, the turnover of the last trimester picked up by 6.1% in transportation and storage. It also rose in the “wholesale trade...” (+4.9 %), in the sector of information and communication (+3.7 %), in real estate activities (+2.5 %) and in business support activities (+1.0 %).
The SA-WDA evolution in June has been revised by –0.8 point in transportation and storage. The decrease, initially announced at –0,3 %, has been corrected at –1.1 % ; the sector of passenger land transport except train has notably been revised. In the same period, the turnover’s variation has been corrected by +0.3 point in the sector information and communication, by +0.2 point in business support activities and by +0.1 point in “wholesale trade...”. It has been confirmed in real estate activities.
