In April 2010, the turnover went on rising in the retail trade, except of motor vehicles and motorcycles (+0.6%). It slightly grew in accommodation and food service activities (+0.3%). Conversely, it decreased in the trade and repair of motor vehicles and motorcycles (–0.6%) and in households services (–0.6%).
Every index in this issue is in volume, seasonally and working-day ajusted.
In April 2010, the turnover went on rising in the retail trade, except of motor vehicles and motorcycles (+0.6%). It slightly grew in accommodation and food service activities (+0.3%). Conversely, it decreased in the trade and repair of motor vehicles and motorcycles (–0.6%) and in households services (–0.6%).
On a quarterly basis, the turnover expanded in the “retail trade…” (+1.2%, q-o-q) and in accommodation and food service activities (+0.8%). It slightly increased in household services (+0.3%) whereas it dipped in the trade and repair of motor vehicles and motorcycles (–0.4%).
Compared to the same three months of the previous year, the turnover of the last trimester soared in the trade and repair of motor vehicles and motorcycles (+4.4%), in “the retail trade…” (+3.3%) and, to a lesser extent, in accommodation and food service activities (+1.3%). It stood at a lower level than a year ago in household services (–1.0%).
According to our early estimate, the turnover in the “retail trade…” is expected to be broadly steady in May 2010 (+0.1%).
