In April 2010, the turnover grew in “information and communication” (+2.0 %) and, to a lesser extent, in business support activities (+0.5 %). It was broadly steady in the “wholesale trade…” (+0.2 %), in “transportation and storage” (+0.1 %) and real estate activities (+0.1%).
Every index in this issue is in value, seasonally and working-day ajusted.
In April 2010, the turnover grew in “information and communication” (+2.0 %) and, to a lesser extent, in business support activities (+0.5 %). It was broadly steady in the “wholesale trade…” (+0.2 %), in “transportation and storage” (+0.1 %) and real estate activities (+0.1%).
On a quarterly basis, the turnover increased in “transportation and storage” (+3.3 %, q-o-q) due to the bounce in February (+3.2 %). It also rose in the “wholesale trade…” (+2.0 %), in “information and communication” (+1.4 %) and in real estate activities (+0.6 %). It slightly declined in business support activities (–0.2 %).
Compared to the same three months of the previous year, the turnover of the last trimester stood at a higher level in ”information and communication” (+2.5 %, y-o-y), in “transportation and storage” (+2.4 %), in real estate activities (+2.3 %) and in the “wholesale trade…” (+1.3 %). Conversely, it declined in business support activities (–1.7 %).
