In June 2010, the turnover rose in household services (+1.0%) and in the trade and repair of motor vehicles and motorcycles (+0.7 %). It decreased in the retail trade, except of motor vehicles and motorcycles ( 1.2 %), after rising for 4 months. Also, it slightly dipped in accomodation and food service activities (–0.2 %).
Every index in this issue is in volume, seasonally and working-day ajusted.
In June 2010, the turnover rose in household services (+1.0%) and in the trade and repair of motor vehicles and motorcycles (+0.7 %). It decreased in the retail trade, except of motor vehicles and motorcycles (–1.2 %), after rising for 4 months. Also, it slightly dipped in accomodation and food service activities (–0.2 %).
Compared to Q1 2010, the turnover of Q2 2010 grew in the “retail trade…” (+1.1%, q-o-q) and in accommodation and food service activities (+0.8%). It slightly increased in household services (+0.2%) and was stable in the trade and repair of motor vehicles and motorcycles (0.0%).
Compared to Q2 2009, the turnover of Q2 2010 was up in the trade and repair of motor vehicles and motorcycles (+3.7 %, y-oy). However, since the drop between April and October 2008, the upturn was subdued. The turnover also expanded in “the retail trade…” (+2.9 %) and in accommodation and food service activities (+2.4 %). It was broadly steady in household services (+0.1 %)
According to our early estimate, the turnover in the “retail trade…” is expected to increase in July 2010 (+2.1 %).
