and in the retail trade Sales volume in the retail trade and personal services - March 2010
In March 2010, the turnover bounced in the trade and repair of motor vehicles and motorcycles (+1.1%). It grew in the retail trade, except of motor vehicles and motorcycles (+0.6%) after rising in February (+0.4%). It went on slightly increasing in accommodation and food service activities (+0.3%), whereas it was nearly stable in households services (–0.1%).
Every index in this issue is in volume, seasonally and working-day ajusted.
In March 2010, the turnover bounced in the trade and repair of motor vehicles and motorcycles (+1.1%). It grew in the retail trade, except of motor vehicles and motorcycles (+0.6%) after rising in February (+0.4%). It went on slightly increasing in accommodation and food service activities (+0.3%), whereas it was nearly stable in households services (–0.1%).
Compared to Q4 2009, the turnover of Q1 2010 expanded a little in the “retail trade…” (+0.5%, q-o-q), in household services (+0.3%) and in accommodation and food service activities (+0.2%). It slightly dipped in the trade and repair of motor vehicles and motorcycles (–0.2%).
Compared to Q1 2009, the turnover of Q1 2010 soared in the trade and repair of motor vehicles and motorcycles (+4.2%) and, to a lesser extent, in “the retail trade…” (+2.3%). It stood approximately at the same level than a year ago in food and accommodation service activities (+0.2%) and in household services (–0.2%).
According to our early estimate, the turnover in the “retail trade…” is expected to be broadly steady in April 2010 (+0.1%).
