In January, the turnover rose by 1.4% in the information and communication sector. It was broadly steady in the wholesale trade except of motor vehicles and motorcycles (+0.1%), in “transportation and storage” (–0.1%), in real estate activities (+0.2%) and in business support activities (+0.1%).
Every index in this issue is in value, seasonally and working-day ajusted.
In January, the turnover rose by 1.4% in the information and communication sector. It was broadly steady in the wholesale trade except of motor vehicles and motorcycles (+0.1%), in “transportation and storage” (–0.1%), in real estate activities (+0.2%) and in business support activities (+0.1%).
On a quarterly basis, the turnover expanded in “information and communication” (+1.4%, q-o-q), in real estate activities (+0.9%), in the “wholesale trade…” (+0.5%) and in business support activities (+0.4%). It was stable in “transportation and storage” (+0.1%).
Compared to the same three months of the previous year, the turnover of the last three months was still down in the “wholesale trade…” (–6.4%, y-o-y), in “transportation and storage” (–4.5%) and, to a lesser extent, in business support activities (–2.1%). Conversely, it stood at higher level than a year ago in real estate activities (+2.0%) and in ”information and communication” (+0.8%).
