In January 2010, the manufacturing production increased (+0.8%), after a decrease in December (–0.9%, initially announced at -0.8%). The January production was boosted by the manufacture of transport equipment (+8.0%).
In January 2010, the manufacturing production increased (+0.8%), after a decrease in December (–0.9%, initially announced at -0.8%). The January production was boosted by the manufacture of transport equipment (+8.0%).
The production of total industry also increased (+1.6% after -0.2% in December).
Compared to Q1 2009, the bottom level touched during the recession, the manufacturing production of the last three months was up 4.5%. But it was still 14.5% under its peak, reached in Q1 2008.
