In January 2010, new orders received in industry (except heavy transport equipment) decreased markedly (–9.4%), after a surge in December (+13.5%; first estimate: +14.9%).
In January 2010, new orders received in industry (except heavy transport equipment) decreased markedly (–9.4%), after a surge in December (+13.5%; first estimate: +14.9%).
Non domestic new orders also decreased in January (–11.2%).
Over the last quarter, new orders increased in industry (+5.4%)
Over the last quarter, non domestic new orders also rose (+8.0% q-o-q).
New orders increased by 13.0% in automobile, by 3.1% in the “other manufacturing” sector, and by 6.1% in “electrical and electronic equipment”.
Compared to last year, new orders are higher
The quarterly level of new orders is 2.8% higher than a year ago.
But it is still 20.2% under its peak, reached in Q1 2008.
