In September 2009, the seasonally adjusted summary consumer confidence indicator increased by two points. It remains substantially lower than its long term level.
In September 2009, the seasonally adjusted summary consumer confidence indicator increased by two points. It remains substantially lower than its long term level.
The appreciation by households of past and expected general economic situation increased in September. More households consider their personal financial position to have worsened during the past 12 months. However, they are more optimistic about their futur financial position. The balance on the current environment for major purchases is steadily lower than its long term level.
Although slightly decreasing, households expectations about unemployment are still high.
Perception of futur and past consumer prices are low.
