The self-employed panel is a statistical database that has been tracking a sample of self-employed workers since 2006.

Each observation corresponds to an individual who has been self-employed and earned non-salaried remuneration during the course of a year.

The scope of coverage includes almost all persons affiliated to a social protection scheme for self-employed workers: the social security scheme for self-employed workers (SSI), the scheme for liberal professions via Urssaf or the agricultural scheme via the Mutualité sociale agricole (MSA).

The following are not covered: minority managers of limited liability companies (SARL), directors of public limited companies (SA) and simplified joint stock companies (SAS); collaborating spouses and family assistants; joint contributors to the MSA; self-employed persons covered by the artists and authors scheme or the fishermen and sailors scheme.

The panel is fed by the self-employed database (BNS).

The self-employed panel dates back to 2006.
