Statistical population

The economic coverage of the Sine system corresponds to the scope of business demography: all market activities, excluding agricultural activities.
Until the 2002 set, the Sine system only covered the "ICS" scope (Industry, the building industry, Trade and Services).
Time coverage
The 2026 cohort of new companies is surveyed three times: at the end of 2026, at the end of 2029 and at the end of 2031. Companies are thus tracked over their first five years of operation. The Sine system has been in place since 1994, tracking one in four new business generations. Since 2010, the population of micro-entrepreneurs (auto-entrepreneurs until 2014) has also been surveyed.
