The collection, conducted by internet since 2012, is launched in the first quarter of the year in question.

The survey covers the whole of France (geography at the time of collection).

The survey is collected mainly on the INSEE Internet portal (98% of returns) and at the request of the company, by e-mail or post.

The unit interrogated is a legal unit of the enterprise, which answers on the enterprise.

The sampling base is the Sirus register (Identification system for the Statistical Units in the Register).

The sample is stratified by business sector and by size and, since 2012, by turnover. Depending on the survey year, approximately 12,500 businesses are surveyed.
