The frame of the survey is the Sirus directory (directory of statistical units).
The sampling method consists in a stratification by division of the French activity nomenclature and by local unit size.
The survey is exhaustive for establishments with 250 or more employees (approximately 1,600 establishments).

The different steps of the survey ensure that the process meets the requirements for statistical production:
- Checks and follow-ups during the collection phase
