The indices for France, metropolitan France and province are available under four versions: an advance provisionnal (approximately 2 months after the end of quarter), a provisionnal (approximately 3 months after the end of quarter), a semi-definitive (approximately 5 months after the end of quarter) and a definitive (approximately 6 months after the end of quarter). For the detailed series of province, the indices are available from their provisionnal version. The data in Ile-de-France are not updated (two publications: one approximately 2 months after the end of quarter and one approximately 5 months after the end of quarter).
Besides, the Notaires-INSEE second-hand housing price indices are completely updated every five years, approximately. The purpose of this update is to bring the coefficients used to calculate the indices up to date, and at the same time it provides an opportunity to introduce improvements in the methodology. The last update was in 2018 (for the publication of the revised first quarter 2018, that is occured in September 2018).
