- Pharmaceutical industry (21);
- Metals (24);
- Manufacture of metallic products, except for machines and equipment (25);
- Manufacture of computer, electronic and optical products (26);
- Manufacture of electrical equipment (27);
- Manufacture of machines and equipment (28);
- Manufacture of motor vehicles (29);
- Manufacture of other transport equipment (30).

Until December 2008, the scope was defined at European level as the products of the branches of NAF rev. 1 :

- textile industry (17), clothing and fur industry (18), paper and card industry (21), chemical industry (24), metals (27), metal working (28), manufacture of machines and equipment (29), manufacture of office machines and computer equipment (30), manufacture of electrical machines and devices (31), manufacture of radio, television and telecommunication equipment (32), manufacture of precision medical, optical and clock-making instruments (33), manufacture of motor vehicles (34), manufacture of other transport equipment (35).
