Objective
To contribute to the works seeking to bring together the reference framework for the production and distribution of geospatial statistics (the Global Statistical Geospatial Framework) and the models that describe the statistical processes produced by UNECE, such as the GSBPM. These reflections will be based on a comparative study of practices in the ESSnet member states with the aim of achieving a harmonised framework adapted to the context of the European Statistical System. A mechanism for measuring quality for the management of geospatial statistics will also be proposed by the Group.
Distribution of work
The planned activities are grouped in 7 work packages, linked to specific objectives, deadlines and results. INSEE participates in 3 work packages: WP1, WP2 and WP3:
- Work package 1: A Completed GSGF Europe;
- Work package 2: Supporting the Implementation of the GSGF Europe;
- Work package 3: Quality of geospatial information management for statistics;
- Work package 4: EFGS website;
- Work package 5: EFGS Conferences;
- Work package 6: Exploitation, distribution and dissemination;
- Work package 7: Project management and coordination.
