Information : since this publication, buildings' maintenance and improvement work price indices are released in reference 100 in 2015 and chained annually. The IPEA indices, which were only about dwellings in base 2010, now cover all buildings, including non−residential. In Q1 2018, residential and non-residential buildings' maintenance and improvement work price index (IPEA) increased by +0.4% (after +0.2% in Q4 2017). Prices accelerated sharply in plumbing, heat and air-conditioning installation (+0.7% after +0.2%), in floor and wall covering (+0.6% after +0.1%) and in the other construction installation (for example, installation of lifts or automatic doors, +0.6% after −0.1%).
Over a quarter, the rise is 0.4% for residential buildings and 0.3% for non-residential buildings.
Over a year, buildings' maintenance and improvement work prices increased at the same pace as in the previous quarter (+1.0%). They accelerated in plumbing, heat and air-conditioning installation (+0.9% after +0.6%) and in the other construction installation (+0.8% after +0.2%). Conversely, they are a little less dynamic in plastering (+2.4% after +3.1%), in roofing (+1.9% after +2.4%) and in the other specialised construction activities (for example, building structural or masonery works, waterproofness works, +1.1% after +1.5%).
Over a year, price increase is stronger in the residential sector (+1.2%) than in the non-residential sector (+0.7%).
