Family Benefits in 2024 in the Overseas Departments and Regions Eight Out of Ten Residents of Priority Neighbourhoods from the Overseas Departments and Regions, Excluding Mayotte, Were Covered by Statutory Benefits from the Family Allowances Funds

In La Réunion, Martinique, French Guiana and Guadeloupe, residents of Priority Neighbourhoods (Quartiers prioritaires de la politique de la ville, QPV) were more likely in 2024 to receive statutory benefits from the family allowances funds (Caisse d’allocations familiales, Caf) than the rest of the residents of these departments. Households living in QPV were more likely to receive multiple benefits (53% in Priority Neighbourhoods versus 40% outside these neighbourhoods), and the amounts they received for these benefits were also higher, by an average of 174 euros.
