Family Benefits in 2024 in Hexagonal France Seven Out of Ten Residents of Priority Neighbourhoods Received Statutory Benefits from the Family Allowances Funds

In 2024 in hexagonal France, residents of Priority Neighbourhoods (Quartiers prioritaires de la politique de la ville, QPV) were more likely to receive benefits from family allowances funds (Caisse d’allocations familiales, Caf) than those living outside QPV. Households in QPV also received a greater number of benefits, with a higher proportion of recipient households in these neighbourhoods receiving at least two benefits compared to elsewhere (51% in Priority Neighbourhoods versus 35% outside those neighbourhoods). In addition, the amounts per benefit and per recipient household were, on average, 200 euros higher in QPV.
