This report is published in an incomplete provisional version. The elements of the final 2023 account on margin rates and changes in value added and gross operating surplus will be added at the beginning of 2026.
In 2025, volume of sales in the trade sector in France would recover compared to 2024. Detail trade would pick up again, like in Euro zone as a whole. Wholesale trade would be almost stable while it would rebound in Euro zone. Finally, volume of sales in the automotive trade and repair would continue to dwindle like in Euro zone.
In France, household consumption expenditure on goods (including automotive and network energy) would be virtually stable, while household consumption expenditure on services would continue to increase, but at a slower pace than in 2024. Consumer prices would slow down again.
