National economic wealth in 2024 An increase despite the slight decline in land prices

At the end of 2024, France’s national economic wealth (or net worth), which measures the total wealth of the economy, amounted to 19,559 billion euros, a rebound of 2.6% after a 2.5% fall in 2023. Non‑financial wealth, which accounted for most of the total and was half owned by households, remained stable, as the rise in the value of buildings offset the fall in land value. The overall increase was therefore driven by financial wealth.
