This municipality has experienced contour changes since 2013 :

  • 01/01/2019 – Saint-Samson-de-Bonfossé reste déléguée au sein de Bourgvallées (50546) (commune nouvelle).
  • 01/01/2019 – Création de la commune nouvelle de Bourgvallées en lieu et place des communes du Mesnil-Herman (50313), de Bourgvallées (50546) et de Soulles (50581).
  • 01/01/2016 – Saint-Samson-de-Bonfossé devient commune déléguée (chef-lieu) au sein de Bourgvallées (50546) (commune nouvelle).
  • 01/01/2016 – Création de la commune nouvelle de Bourgvallées en lieu et place des communes de Gourfaleur (50213), de La Mancellière-sur-Vire (50287), de Saint-Romphaire (50545) et de Saint-Samson-de-Bonfossé (50546) devenues déléguées.
