  • 01/01/2017 – Aillant-sur-Tholon devient commune déléguée (chef-lieu) au sein de Montholon (89003) (commune nouvelle).
  • 01/01/2017 – Création de la commune nouvelle de Montholon en lieu et place des communes d'Aillant-sur-Tholon (89003), de Champvallon (89078), de Villiers-sur-Tholon (89473) et de Volgré (89484) devenues déléguées.
