This municipality has experienced contour changes since 2013:

  • 01/01/2017 – Cersay devient commune déléguée (chef-lieu) au sein de Val en Vignes (79063) (commune nouvelle).
  • 01/01/2017 – Création de la commune nouvelle de Val en Vignes en lieu et place des communes de Bouillé-Saint-Paul (79044), de Cersay (79063) et de Massais (79168).
