This municipality has experienced contour changes since 2013 :

  • 01/01/2025 – Sauzé-Vaussais devient commune déléguée (chef-lieu) au sein de Sauzé-entre-Bois (79307) (commune nouvelle).
  • 01/01/2025 – Création de la commune nouvelle de Sauzé-entre-Bois en lieu et place des communes de Caunay (79060), de Montalembert (79180), de Pers (79205), de Pliboux (79212) et de Sauzé-Vaussais (79307) devenues déléguées.
