This municipality has experienced contour changes since 2013 :

  • 01/01/2017 – Rion-des-Landes devient commune déléguée (chef-lieu) au sein de Rion-des-Landes (40243) (commune nouvelle).
  • 01/01/2017 – Création de la commune nouvelle de Rion-des-Landes en lieu et place des communes de Boos (40048) et de Rion-des-Landes (40243) devenues déléguées.
