This municipality has experienced contour changes since 2012 :

  • 01/01/2019 – Villevêque devient commune déléguée (chef-lieu) au sein de Rives-du-Loir-en-Anjou (49377) (commune nouvelle).
  • 01/01/2019 – Création de la commune nouvelle de Rives-du-Loir-en-Anjou en lieu et place des communes de Soucelles (49337) et de Villevêque (49377) devenues déléguées.
